John 12:37-50
It always amazes me that even though the Jewish people actually saw with their own eyes the miracles that Jesus performed, they still did not believe. How blessed are we to have a faith so deep that we believe in Jesus Christ. Even though we did not drink the water that was turned into wine, witness the healing of the lepers, the man who was blind but saw and Lazarus rise from his tomb, we still believe and have faith.
While we were not able to witness those first miracles, we have witnessed many miracles in our own church family. Think of the babies that have been born, when doctors said there was little hope. The parents who had faith and became parents against many odds. Remember the many cancer survivors within our church family as well as those who have been to the brink of death and lived. Our beautiful building and the expansions that we have undertaken through faith are tangible proof of the miracles of Jesus.
During this blessed season of Lent, keep watch for the miracles that Jesus works in our lives everyday. Let our faith be so strong that we become a light for those who are lost and looking for miracles within their lives.
