John 10: 19-42
The Unbelief of the Jews
During the Feast of the Dedication in Jerusalem, Jesus walked in the temple area and Jews gathered around him and questioned who he was. John 10:25-30 Jesus answered, “I did tell you, but you do not believe. The miracles I do in my Father’s name speak for me, but you do not believe because you are not my sheep. My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish, no one can snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. I and the Father are one.” The Jews began to stone Jesus, but he escaped and made his way across the Jordan, where many people came to him and believed.
Believing! It was hard for the Jews to believe that Jesus, a man that walked among them, was The Messiah! We believers hope that the power of his message and resurrection continues to show the love and compassion of Christ to all people. As Christians, may we show the same grace and mercy he gave to us toward others every day, and feel blessed
and thankful!
